Michael's novella, Cowboy Outfit, began it's 7-week run on USA Today's website on November 20, 2003. Click here for the article announcing the novella's commencement. Click here for the latest installment.

The novella is the story of Hamilton Ashe, an Atlanta tailor, who begins to question his feelings for his girlfriend Renee when she decides to become a country-and-Western singer -- because her songs are terrible.

The adventures of Ham and Renee continue in My Wife and My Dead Wife, published by MacAdam Cage in June 2004.

I wrote Cowboy Outfit at the request of my friends at USA Today. I had the beginning of the story for many years and had used it as part of a novel that I was supposedly editing. Working on Cowboy Outfit inspired me to go back and revise the novel.
